SERVICES

Root Infusions

Inject or soak compost tea at the feet of trees and plants in need of medicine. Flush out bad bacteria and treat root disease at the source.

Foliar Sprays

Envelop canopy leaves in a mist of tea which promotes foliar health, improves photosynthesis, delivers micro nutrients and defends against pest and disease. Good for treatment, excellent for prevention.

Custom Brews

Gathering beneficial, indigenous micro-organisms from the happy spaces of your landscape, cultivating, brewing with and spreading their goodness throughout!

Compost tea is liquid medicine for plants. Technically, it’s a biological ammendment made from locally sourced organic ingredients, including rich, biologically complete compost.

Adding a carefully tailored recipe to the compost extract, the “Tea” is steeped and brewed in a giant vortex of hyper-oxygenated water for 24 hrs.

Once the tea is ready, we come to your property with our 500 gallon spray rig and soak!

ORCHARD DESIGN

& SEASONAL PRUNING

Fruit trees need specialized care and seasonal pruning to have good fruit production and longterm system health.

Using tested principles of form, symmetry and balance, each tree must be carefully placed, shaped and thinned for proper sunlight diffusion, air flow and weight distribution.

As many families of fruit trees produce fruit on differing ages of wood, proactive pruning with knowledge of fruiting wood age and habit is essential for proper care of each tree.

Orange Blossom has spent years gathering knowledge from elders and learning through hands on experience to develop tried and tested techniques.

In addition to soil enrichment, seasonal pruning of fruit trees is essential.

We can do monthly, quarterly or even yearly visits to make sure all your fruit trees are taken care of and on track to explode with juicy fruit!

Our story

ORANGE BLOSSOM SB endeavors to regenerate the earth’s precious soil, one orchard and one garden at a time.

Company founder, Christopher Lynch, has roots deeply connected to both plants and music. For nearly a decade, he toured with Santa Barbara’s new wave psych band, Gardens & Villa—a name reflecting the garden and compost pile he nurtured on Villa Avenue, in the heart of Santa Barbara’s Westside. On their first major tour, the band brought along an ice chest full of vegetables harvested from that very garden.

After moving to LA to chase the dream, Lynch eventually teamed up with Joanna Glovinsky, and in early 2018 co-founded The Fruitstitute—now the region’s leading fruit tree care service. In the years since, through countless hours spent observing, nurturing and restoring fruit trees, he honed his ability to commune with and heal them.

In that time Lynch discovered that everything starts and ends with the soil, and what lies beneath. Soil must be nourished and cherished to harbor trees which yield flavorful, nourishing fruits. The art of creating and curing an optimal compost has become a passion for him, rooted in deep intention. "The compost heap is a shrine, where life is reborn." It’s not just about helping fruit trees produce their most flavorful, mineral-rich harvests—it's also about attuning to the quiet mysteries of mycelium networks, root zones, and the countless micro-beings that live, die, and cycle life back into the earth.

With a microscope and a self styled lab, Lynch began to, quite literally, dive in to compost. “It’s a crazy jungle of alien disco parties.” The path of compost inevitably led to extracts, teas, natural farming fermentations and liquid biological amendments. He built his first vortex brewer during the pandemic lockdowns, and has since mastered the art of compost tea—crafting custom brews tailored to the specific needs of the trees in his care.

With a 500-gallon spray trailer to actively apply aerated compost tea, Orange Blossom SB is ready to soak the Central Coast with live, organic soil medicine. The prayer is to build healthy soil, improve water retention, capture carbon, enrich and revitalize food, grow fruit locally, and thereby heal the land and all the beings which inhabit it.
